Cheap Chinese solder wire test. Cheap indeed but don't waste your money!
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.5 лет назад
I bought some cheap Youzhihanxisi Brand solder wire on Aliexpress which is advertised as 63/37 alloy. If it would really be Sn63Pb37 alloy, than the melting point would be 183-183 degrees C. Using my Weller WTCPS solder station, I compared it to three other solder wires that I normally use and which work perfectly but as you can see in the video, the Youzhihanxisi does not melt and is completel...
Hubsan Zino balance adapter in 2 minutes for less than $2.- and no soldering required.

This is how you can very easily make a balance adapter cable from a standard 3s extension cable. No soldering or modification to the original charger cable needed. - Cut the outer and - wires at about 7cm from the side which will go to the Zino charge cable. - Strip both sides of the wires and twist them together (I used a ferrule to make it neater) - Attach banana plugs Total time needed, less...
Bubble juice test with added PVA

A new record with PVA enhanced bubble juice. The bubble on the right is without the PVA and the smoke bubble on the left is with the PVA. I have repeated this a couple of times and every time I got comparable results.
Experiment with PVA added to the bubble solution.

The first bubble is with my standard bubble solution. For the second bubble I added a bit of 10% PVA solution which resulted in a bubble that lasted almost 3 times as long.

This was a test flight with the Wingsland S6 up to a height of 111 meters which was a bit scary as the battery life is 6 to 8 minutes max and the device is very slow at descending. I was afraid that it might loose power and crash before it had time to land. Fortunately, all went well. Is was fairly windy and I am pleased with the image quality which in my opinion is not bad for a fixed camera. ...

Something wrong there; heat will melt anything ... just because you set it to 290ºC, that might only mean 290ºC with NO LOAD i find it hard to believe that that solder does not melt at 290ºC, the copper strip is robbing the heat; (fiberglass boards are dogs to solder, they also rob the heat,A LOT) i have a different solder iron for not eutectic, high melt point cheap china solder, that goes from solid to PASTE, to liquid; it is a thick 60watt 110V iron that i connect to 220v via a mosfet variatot/dimmer it readily mests the crapiest solder, problem is the tip is too big for some jobs, then i have to grab the good solder, what else is new...
Apparently you do not realize that there are different types of solder with each having their own melting point this cheap solder is advertised as being the same types the other ones but since it does not melt at the same temperature, it is another mixture of perhaps even pure tin
Please show me how to make this? Thank you

Hola. Se pueden cargar tres baterías a la.vez? Saludos
Yes, it is possible to parallel charge multiple batteries but to use a hobby charger safely, you need to make sure that you know how they work and what you are doing. If you do not fully understand how they work, you should probably not use them. oscarliang.com/parallel-charging-multiple-lipo/
But for the record, what metal do you think is ? Tin or lead? I had some stuff alike and appears to be pure tin.
It might very well be pure tin but based on the melting point, it could also be Sn40Pb60

I understand this config but... -what is the female end connector (style/name) (for Zino cable) & what male connector not the banana plugs -but the other that goes into the bal charger for reference. Or should I just order that whole set & figure it out...? Just curious. Oh, btw -thank you for all the help! Awesome! 👏 does it mater if I get the mini or regular b6 unit?
I am not sure which part you mean by "the female end connector (style/name) (for Zino cable" but the the part from the Zino cable that attaches to the battery might be proprietary, I have not been able to find that connector anywhere. The part that normally goes into the Zino charger is a JST XH 3S connector. I think it is cheaper to buy the standard 3S extension cables than to separately buy the male / female connectors, a crimp tool and silicone wire. It does not matter if you buy the mini or regular b6 as long as you make sure that it has a LiHV charging mode and I would recommend a genuine SkyRC brand and not a generic / unbranded B6
Nice video. I love my S6.

Can I use the original zino pro charger to charge this battery bro?

Yes, as you can see on the display of the charger, it has a LiHV charge program.

No, look at the display of the charger in the video! The original SkyRC has a LiHV charge program.
Very useful video!! Thank you! i'm new in drone's area and i just take my first (Zino pro), Which charger do you recommend for me to charge 3 batteries at a time? I have bought the version with 2 batteries and i'm thinking to buy the upgraded 5000mHa battery.

Hello, the three Zino batteries that I have do not last for 3 minutes "they have one year", I have not used the Zino for 5 months and I have always charged them with the original charger with three cables that I bought separately with the 3 at the same time and I think that there is the problem "the charger", now it is time to buy batteries, Hubsan has released a new 11.4v and 4200mAh batteries, they are on Aliexpress, they are more capacity, they are black and red, please give me your opinion and a good charger so that they last a little longer than the first ones, orient me how I should keep them when I will not use them for a long time, greetings
I have no experience with the new released batteries but I would advice a good quality brand charger like the SkyRC or ISDT chargers and use the storage program to charge/discharge the batteries to a safe voltage for long-time storage.
Done subscribe if you free, come to my channel tq
How long does it take to charge the Zino battery with imax b6 mini charger?
That depends on the charge current that you use and I would advise not to set it higher than 1.5A because of the thin wires of the Hubsan charge cable. I only use the B6 because it uses a proper balance algorhythm.
@@FransvandeKamp I have the EV PEAK c1 xr 100w 10amp charger. Are there a big difference in brand and specs? I see a lot uses SkyRC. I'm a newbie
I do not know that model but if it has LiHV mode it should be fine.
One question please: Why do i have to modify the battery cable? Will be there any problem of i connect the battery cable to the balance charger directly? is it going to charge with no problems? Please explain to me in simple English because my mother tongue is not English. Thanks
The charger does not charge through the balance port alone.
Mechanic brand from Aliexpress is reviewed good.I ordered some to try.
Yes, the Mechanic brand is good.

hallo hoe kan ik deze samenstelling maken. ik doet wat met waterdruppels, maar mijn zeepbel gaat makkelijk kapot.
my imax b6 only says lipo in the battery selection but on the left hand side of the screen is printed, Lfon/Lipo/Life 1-6 cells but no Lihv
Than it is not really suitable for the Zino batteries.. Perhaps there is a firmware update available.
@@FransvandeKamp Hi thanks for that, i found this item on ebay that might be of interest to some people, you would need to convert the wires in a similar way to the video www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GoolRC-G6-mini-Professional-Balance-Charger-Discharger-for-RC-Aircraft-LiHV-K4C3/223101869179?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
No, not right. The SkyRC Imax B6 mini does have a LiHv mode.
zino battery is lihv. but that imax b6 mini does not have lihv option. so it charges only to 4.2v per cell. right?
Thank you for this!!
Great video, but what parts do I need for this? I have a Skyrc iMax b6 V2, wondering what the others are. Thanks.
The links are in the description.
@@FransvandeKamp So they are, thanks!
Hello, it is a LiPo battery but you charge with LiHv mode. What is the reason? Thanks
No, it is a LiHv (LiPo High Voltage) a standard 3S LiPo is marked with its nominal voltage of 11.1V (3.70V*3 cells). These LiHv batteries are marked with a nominal voltage of 11.4V to enjoy the full capacity, they should be charged to 4.35V per cell.
@@FransvandeKamp my charger has only lipo mode. May I set it to charge high as HV?
@@volkanyildirim You can still use your charger on LiPo mode but it will only charge the cells up to 4.2V so you will not get the full capacity. Maybe your charger can be set to charge to a higher end voltage but I would recommend to just buy a new charger that has LiHv mode.
@@FransvandeKamp thank you very much 🙏
Dear Frans van de Kamp! Your wire Assembly without soldering is just great! Have you tried to assemble a wire Assembly for two or three batteries at the same time without soldering? I have original Skyrc iMax b6 mini (60W) and I think the permissible current it will withstand the load. Thanks in advance for the answer.
No, I have not made one myself because I have one of these 2x3S charging boards. With these boards, you can just plug in the 2 batteries with the original Zino charging cable and charge them as one 6S battery. www.aliexpress.com/item/3X2S-2X3S-Balance-Charger-Adapter-Cable-Board-Imax-B6-B6AC-B8-For-RC-Battery-UL-Multi/32732482559.html?channel=twinner See also this photo i.postimg.cc/TPfLRQPX/20190317-153401.jpg
@@FransvandeKamp with this board and the imax b6 Mini can I charge 3 zino batteries without issues? Thanks
@@3117612480 No, with this board you can charge two Zino batteries at the same time.
Hi, I have prepared the same balance adapter cable for Zino battery and I also use Skyrc B6 mini charger. After charging, although the charger shows voltages like 4,33-4,35 on each cell, my voltage tester shows 4,18 on the last cell of Zino battery. Voltages on first and second cell are similar to those shown on the dispaly of charger. Program which I used in the B6 mini: LiHV balanced charging, 1,5 A. Did you make any adjustments to the b6 mini charger? Do you get balanced voltages on each cell after charging?
No, I did not make any adjustments on the B6 mini charger but I have multiple of those cheap voltage testers and they all show different voltages even on testers of the same brand / type. A lot of them are not very reliable and I now only use an ISDT BC-8S tester.
@@FransvandeKamp Thanks ! I will check with a multimeter. Indeed I used one of these cheap testers pinned to the socket.

Thanks foir your vid. I bought a Zino. If I want use the SkyRC S65 (2s-4s) balance charger could I just ignore the 5th pin? SkyRC S65 has 5 pins and Zino cable just 4. I would make a cable with a jst 5 pins on one side ignoring the last pin and on the other a jst with 4 pins conector. Will it work? Thanks in advance.
I am not familiar with the S65 but I think that the 5-pin socket will accept either a 3,4 or 5 pin balance plug. So you can make your cable like this postimg.cc/nMx8nGbR The 5th pin on the balance port of the charger will not be used. The 2-6S port on my Turnigy UP160 works the same postimg.cc/D4nPRzN6

Yo en vez de bananas, usaría un conector xt60, porque así evitarías, que en algún descuido se juntaran los cables y te llevaras un susto
You mean like this one? :-) i.postimg.cc/QCWY99k2/20190130-154414.jpg I made this one for my Turnigy UP160 charger but with the banana plugs I can use it directly with my Imax B6 Mini without the need for another extension cable. I always connect the battery last.
The wires will pull out eventually. Solder is better but if you don't know how I guess this cheap setup is fine. I like all my wires in heat shrink as well so it looks more professional. Good Video! ruclips.net/video/1S2Tr7FQSrs/видео.html

@@FransvandeKamp Thanks for the reply, thanks for the great upload!
When Göran Rämme tested solutions for their bubble longevity he used an interesting device that he devised. It involved a short rack that held maybe a set of 6 by 6 short vertical PVC tubes. When he lowered those tubes down, within the rack, down to the pool of bubble liquid, bubble of equal size rose up to the top of each of those tube. It was a simple move and it created many bubbles that then popped independently, resulting in an average longevity time. Such a device could straddle two separate pools and test, side by side, under identical solutions. I'm not saying that that's necessary in determining whether the PVA enhancement matters ... the difference between a four minute bubble and a 19 minute bubble, repeated by the same and different testers using similar, identical or somewhat different approaches is plenty of evidence to convince me. But I do like Göran's device and his approach.
That is indeed a clever idea. Maybe I will give it a try during the long cold winter nights.
I'm impressed with the longevity and will try this myself ... but I am also impressed with how effectively that fog disappeared. By four minutes I could detect none at all.
Yes, I still wonder what causes this. Since the fog is the result of vaporization and not fire, I think it might just condensate.
Keep going! To consider? A bubble touching the solid side of the tray will drain much faster than a free floating bubble... especially a "freshly formed" bubble that hasn't had a chance to organize the polymer network in the film.
Thanks Keith, any idea how to keep the bubble steady in the middle of the tray? Most of the time it will float to the side after a couple of minutes. I had one that did not and that one lived well over 20 minutes.
Just a thought... it looks like those bubble domes are floating on a thin pool of water? Maybe the bubble moves (or spreads) because it is draining surfactants into the water immediately around itself, changing the local surface tension & that gets things moving. If you float the bubble domes on a thin pool of soap bubble solution instead of water would they move less?
@@KeithJohnsonBubbleguy it is soap bubble solution in the tray.
Ah, so much for my wonderful theory! ;-) I look forward to seeing how you solve this problem because I haven't tried to solve it before. My long-lived bubble experiments had bubbles either suspended from a loop or standing on a wet surface (inverted wine glass). That said, if you really are looking for ideas to try: Covering the tray with a box to reduce air movement? Floating the bubble in a container "overflowing" with liquid so there is no solid wall for the bubble to touch? Your instincts & experiments will lead you in good directions I'm sure. Again, it will be fun to see what you discover.
I have now used a piece of sting to form a circle in the middle of the tray and blow the bubble on top of that. Seems to work very well as I just had a bubble live for 42 minutes.
I comfirm, for the Price you can't find better !!
gorgeous!!!
